FAQs
What is your photography style?
My style is photo journalistic and a little directed when needed. I like to work within the flow of things. I look for the special moments that make an album or portfolio memorable. Typically, I let people be who they are and I work within that parameter. I think the less it feels like a photoshoot or the less you notice me at an event the more special the images turn out to be.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use Canon cameras and lenses. I carry a backup of everything incase anything should go wrong. I like to know that I have every possible outcome covered. My camera has dual card slots that backs up the images as I shoot too.
How many pictures will you take?
I don’t have a limit on how much I shoot. Most couples usually end up with around 200-300 images depending on how long I am booked for. This is not always something I can control; I think every moment requires you to take a different number of images.
Do we get to choose which images are color or black and white?
I shoot everything in color. While I am editing your photos, I will see which ones I believe would benefit greatly from being turned into a black and white. However, if there is an image you want in black & white if possible, I can do that as well.
What is required to book the date?
I require both a deposit of 50% the price; this is non refundable as well as a signed contract. This guarantees your date. The balance is due once the portfolio/album is delivered. Since I book my dates on a first come first serve basis, I do not hold dates until I receive both a signed contract and deposit. However, if someone else asks about my services on your date, I will try my best to inform you beforehand.
What do I wear?
I always have suggestions on what can make the event or photoshoot better, but it is ultimately on the client to decide what to wear. I also provide location advice as well but all decisions I reserve to the client to make unless it is a photoshoot directed by Grafi media.
Do you charge extra for travel?
If your event or photoshoot is in the Boston area or outer cities close to the Boston area, I don’t charge for travel. However, if your event or photoshoot is out of state, the Back side of Massachusetts there will be a $75 travel fee.
Do you mind if people other than you take photographs during an event?
No, I do not mind at all, your family and friends are excited for whatever the event is I do however ask that when I am getting certain shots that other guests wait until I have taken the photos I need, then they can get the ones they want.
Do we get high resolution images?
Yes, you do. Your files will be available to download 2-4 weeks after your photoshoot or event. I do suggest that you send the link to family and friends to make backup copies.
Am I required to feed you at reception?
Yes, I do require a vegetarian (no mushrooms please) meal. Weddings are long and are very hard on my body, I need a chance to refuel. Another handy tip is to ask for your vendors meal to come out just after yours. That way we have a chance to sit and have a break and eat properly without rushing.
